Victron Orion XS 12/12-50A Bluetooth DC-DC Battery Charger

The Victron Orion XS 12/12-50A provides controlled charging from a 12V starter battery and alternator to a 12V leisure battery.

Its adjustable 1–50A charging current allows the system to be configured around the alternator, battery and installed cabling. Built-in Bluetooth provides setup and monitoring through the VictronConnect app, while integrated engine-running detection supports both conventional and smart alternators.

The Orion XS can also be configured as a stable DC power supply when required.

For correctly designed 12V starter-to-leisure battery charging systems using compatible lithium or lead-acid batteries.

Charging voltage, current limits and battery settings must be configured for the battery manufacturer’s requirements.

Fitment / Wiring Note

Cable size, fuse protection, alternator capacity, battery limits and BMS compatibility must be checked against the complete installation before fitting.

Smart-alternator behaviour can vary between vehicles. Some Euro 6 installations may require the engine-detection settings to be adjusted or an appropriate external engine-running signal to be used.
